Hibbing, Minn. – NewCon Company ownership wishes to announce the promotion of Jason Schwartz to the position of President. NewCon is a Hibbing, Minnesota-based company that produces knife gate slurry valves for the mining, energy, steel manufacturing and municipality industries worldwide.

In his new role as company President, Schwartz’s primary goal will be to continue to grow NewCon globally in both existing and emerging markets.

NewCon has long been known as the manufacturer of the world’s most dependable, durable, abrasion-resistant knife gate valves, dating back to 1979. Today, the company continues to produce a 100% American-made product with installations throughout North and South America, Latin America, China, and Australia.

Schwartz, sales manager at NewCon since 2008, brings more than 25 years of experience serving the mining and energy industries.

“Along with our team of industry professionals at NewCon, I intend to maintain NewCon’s 45-year history of high performance, value and dependability.” said Schwartz.

Schwartz and his wife Joanne (Scipioni) have lived in the Hibbing area for most of their lives and are the proud parents of two daughters, Christina (Nate) Hayes and Miranda (Sam) Cook.
